Joel Nadelman

Client Services and Sales

Joel Nadelman is a member of the FinAnalytica Client Services and Sales teams leading both pre- and post- sales efforts with hedge funds, fund of funds, and endowments. Joel has 6 years of experience working with risk management products including 4½ years managing risk and compliance database solutions at Standard & Poor’s CUSIP Service Bureau. Joel has a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Markus Rasche

Managing Director of Northern European Sales

Markus brings over 20 years of experience in the IT Sales and Management environment to FinAnalytica. Markus qualified as a German banker and moved into IT in the early 1990s. Markus worked for Dow Jones Telerate and Asset Control where he developed an expertise in financial data. Markus also has successful periods working for Algorithmics and SunGard where he was responsible for their risk management solutions covering Central and Eastern Europe. Markus holds a Masters Degree in Politics from Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität Münster.

Kristina Bratanova

Business Analyst

Kristina Bratanova is a Business Analyst in the Sofia branch of FinAnalytica. Before joining FinAnalytica, she was an Analyst in the Bulgarian Financial Supervision Commission, responsible for annual and quarterly reports for capital markets, insurance markets and supplementary pension insurance markets. For the past 7 years Kristina has been an assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University assisting with instruction in Game Theory, Quantitative Methods for Economic Analysis and Math in Economics. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Master’s degree in Finance and Banking from Sofia University. Furthermore, currently she is participating in the CFA program as a CFA Level 3 candidate.

Vladimir Ganev

Senior Software Developer

Vladimir Ganev is a software developer. He is responsible for the representation of Cognity reports and charts, both in Excel and html. He has been working at FinAnalytica for over 4 years. He holds M.Sc. in Mobile Technologies at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia University.

Georgi Georgiev

Business Analyst

Georgi Georgiev is a Business Analyst in the Sofia branch of FinAnalytica. Previously, he has held a number of internships, including in the Cologne Institute for Economic Research, in the field of Economics of Financial Markets, and the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance as part of the team, responsible for the convergence of Bulgaria toward the rest of the EU countries. He completed a M.Sc. in Economics at the Humboldt University, Germany in 2007. He also holds a Bachelor in Business Administration at the Martin Luther University in Halle (Saale), Germany.

Milen Ivanov

Quantitative Analyst

Milen Ivanov is a Quantitative Analyst in the Sofia branch of FinAnalytica. He is responsible for optimization modules. Before joining FinAnalytica he had experience in industrial optimization with the engineering company Skygate BG. Ivanov has a PhD in mathematics from Sofia University where he teaches Calculus. He has been involved with various publications related to infinite dimensional calculus.

Georgi Mitov

Senior Quantitative Analyst

Georgi Mitov is a Senior Quantitative Analyst at FinAnalytica. He has been working for FinAnalytica for the past seven years doing research on the application of heavy tailed distributions in the field of financial risk management. He is involved in the research, development, implementation and application of all scenario generation and parameter estimation methods developed in Cognity. Previously, he was a Junior Quant at Bravo Risk Management Group - the originator of Cognity, which was later acquired by FinAnalytica. Before joining Bravo Risk Management Group, Georgi worked at the Metalife, a bioinformatics company, doing research in the area of genetic algorithms and protein-protein interactions. Georgi has a Ph.D. in Probability and Statistics from the Bulgarian Academy of Science. He also holds the M.S. degree in Mathematical Modeling in Economics and Finance from Sofia University and B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Sofia University. As a student Georgi had received several mathematical competition awards and scholarships.
