- Former APT CEO brings new depth and strengthens European presence

New York and London, 30 March 2010 – FinAnalytica, the leading provider of real world portfolio risk solutions for multi-manager funds, hedge funds and asset management firms, today announced that Jamie Ridyard has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

“Given our continued global growth, Jamie’s appointment complements the current Board and management skill sets,” said Andrew Huddart, FinAnalytica’s Chairman. “He will bring extra depth to the company's presence in the UK and Europe, and we look forward to working with him on strategic and tactical initiatives that will ensure our continued success.”

Ridyard was previously CEO at APT, a risk solutions company, having been instrumental in its growth over the previous 15 years and, ultimately, its sale to SunGard in February 2008. Prior to his time in the finance sector, he taught Philosophy of Law at Wroclaw University, and holds a masters degree in Psychology from Cambridge University, England.

Commenting on his appointment, Ridyard said: "After spending many months researching the vendor space, it became clear to me that FinAnalytica is demonstrably the most reliable and comprehensive risk management solution in the market. Where FinAnalytica offers a satisfying response to each type of market risk, no other system has achieved quite the same breadth nor as elegantly."

He added: "Having competed against Andrew, ex-Barra COO (now MSCI Barra) for some years, we are confident that together, we can ensure FinAnalytica finds the most successful path in today's challenging but most receptive market."
